Promoting the international recognition of Brazilian design and disseminating in the country a culture for the production and manufacture of high-value products. These are the goals of the Design & Excellence Brazil (DEBrazil) program, an initiative of the Foreign Trade, Industry and Development Ministry (MDIC) and the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), under the coordination of the Design Center Paraná.

To reach these goals, DEBrazil identified potential markets abroad and defined the participation of entrepreneurs and students in Brazil on the iF Design Awards, the most relevant award on the European market. DEBrazil provides logistic and financial support for the enrolment of Brazilians, as well as support in publicizing award-winning projects at exhibits and iF Awards publications.
