The Agriculture and Supply Secretary of Paraná (SEAB) hired the Design Center Paraná in 2001 to supply the design demands of small rural producers participating on the Farmer’s Factory (Fábrica do Agricultor) program. With the goal of promoting the agro-industry in the state's countryside, this program supports the organization of businesses for the manufacture of cold cuts, sweets, preserves and cheese, as well helps the selection, packaging and sale of fruit with a proprietary brand.

The Design Center Paraná faced many challenges in this job. Among them, the producers' very limited funds for investment in design; their distant location from designers in the state, which are mainly located in Curitiba and Londrina; lack of knowledge of almost the entire chain involved in the program.

In this context, many materials were elaborated placing design into the small farmers' businesses. Among them, standard and customized labeling, label application manuals and packaging catalogues.

Besides, the Design Center Paraná guided the development of a visual identity for the Farmer’s Factory (Fábrica do Agricultor) program. This process included the creation of an identification stamp for products participating on this program.

The Design Center Paraná managed the brand elaboration and folder creation for the marketing of the two first editions of the Sabores do Paraná fair, an event bringing together products from Paraná's countryside.
